WHO WE ARE
We are BSA Survivors united by a common purpose: to share our stories, amplify Survivor voices, and pursue accountability.
As the largest childhood sexual abuse case in U.S. history, involving 82,209 Survivors, the BSA bankruptcy process reduced victims to claimant numbers and called them “Creditors” rather than acknowledging the profound harm they endured.
As part of a growing community speaking out publicly, we are committed to ensuring that Survivor voices remain at the center of the conversation while advocating for transparency, justice, and meaningful reform. We also seek to expose the fraud, misconduct, conflicts of interest, and malpractice associated with the BSA bankruptcy, and those responsible for its process.
OUR DEMANDS
1. Independent Investigation and Accountability
We demand a comprehensive federal investigation into the BSA/SA, including its historical handling of child sexual abuse allegations, failures to report abuse, compliance with mandatory reporting laws, and any efforts to conceal abuse, protect perpetrators, or prioritize institutional interests over the safety of children. We further call for a thorough investigation into allegations of fraud, misconduct, malpractice, and other wrongdoing associated with the BSA bankruptcy process, with accountability for all individuals and entities found responsible.
2. Revocation of the Congressional Charter
We demand that Congress revoke BSA/SA’s congressional charter. An organization entrusted with serving and protecting youth must be held to the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and child protection. Survivors deserve meaningful consequences when those standards are not met.
3. Full Compensation for Survivors
We demand federal legislation ensuring that Survivors receive the full value of their Trust Determined Awards. No Survivor of childhood sexual abuse should be forced to bear financial losses resulting from bankruptcy proceedings, legal maneuvering, or inadequate funding of Survivor compensation trusts.
4. Transparency and Public Disclosure
We demand full transparency regarding decisions, negotiations, financial transactions, and conduct related to the BSA bankruptcy. Survivors and the public deserve access to information necessary to understand how outcomes were determined and whether justice has been fairly administered.
5. Survivor Voices Must Be Heard
We demand that Survivors remain at the center of all discussions, decisions, and reforms arising from this historic case. Their experiences, voices, and concerns must not be overshadowed by institutional, legal, or financial interests.
